Jacob WR Dobbs

Jacob W.R. Dobbs was born in Brooklyn N.Y. to Vera and Lenard Dobbs. Community minded from a young age, Jacob Was a Boy Scout achieving First Class then going to the Explorers as well as Order Of The Arrow, reaching Brotherhood. Graduating from Midwood High School as Student Body President followed by St. John’s University.  Also attaining his Commission as a second leutenant in the United States Army services in Germany and here in the USA. Subsequent to leaving Active service Jacob gained employment with the N.Y.S. Commission Of Corrections and furthering his career in N.Y.S. Department of Correctional Services.

 

Jacob served as First Vice President on the Carver Community Board, Youth Coordinator at Grace Family Church and Associate Pastor at Empire Christian Center. These are just a few of the roles he has served within the church community. Jacob now sits on the board of Schenectady March For Jesus.

 

Jacob is committed to work tirelessly for the City of Schenectady as a City Council member.
